Privacy
Zora OS is a private desktop dashboard for Windows. It is built and used by one person, Chris Schardijn, on his own laptop. It is not a public service and is not offered to other users.
What Zora OS accesses
After Chris signs in with his own Google accounts, Zora OS can read:
- Gmail messages, to show an inbox overview and summaries;
- Google Calendar events, to show the day and week;
- Google Tasks, to show and complete tasks;
- YouTube uploads of his own channel, to track monthly family videos.
Access is read-only, except for Google Tasks, which Zora OS can mark as done or add to.
Where data is kept
- Data is processed and stored only on Chris's own laptop.
- Sign-in tokens are kept in Windows Credential Manager, never in plain files.
- There is no Zora OS server. Nothing is uploaded to, stored on or shared through this website.
Sharing
Data is never sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising. When Chris asks the built-in assistant a question, only the text needed for that question is sent to the AI provider (Anthropic) to produce an answer.
Zora OS's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling Zora OS removes its local data.
